Nepal’s weather is generally predictable and overall enjoyable. Despite its small size, the country experiences a variety of climates due to its diverse geography. The tropical, temperate, and tundra climate zones are found in Nepal’s Terai region, midland hills, and alpine areas, respectively. Nepal has four distinct seasons: winter, spring, monsoon, and autumn.
For nature enthusiasts, spring is the ideal time to visit, as flowers are in full bloom and the mountain slopes are covered with vibrant, colorful blossoms. However, clouds may occasionally obscure or enhance mountain views. Spring runs from early March to late May. Following spring, the monsoon season begins in late May and lasts until late August. Autumn, from September to late November, brings temperate weather, clear skies, and stunning mountain views, making it another excellent time to visit, with trekking season in full swing. Winter in Nepal starts in late November and continues until late February.
